After going to the Hershey Chocolate Factory three or four times (I like chocolate..), I really wanted to make a trip the Hershey Amusement Park. I was lucky to get discounted tickets, so Kenny and I made a trip with just the two of us for our anniversary.
The chocolate was happy to see us.
I loved the park immediately.
Our first ride, Skyrush, was the most intense ride in the park according to the employees.
I live for soaring down roller coaster hills.
Kenny was on an outside seat and got whipped back and forth more violently but he still loved it.
It was hilarious when a 70-80 year old couple who rode next to us got off the ride. They were whooping and shouting out of excitement as they exited the ride.
The Great Bear was smooth and mild in comparison.
Several employees performed in the park to promote the different rides. Stilts!
These guys made me smile.
Next, we rode Fahrenheit. The coaster went straight up and down.
I wanted to ride it immediately when I saw it and it was as thrilling as it looked.
We tried out their brand new coaster called Laff Trakk. It was all indoor and a little creepy.
Laff Trakk, unlike the other rides, provided entertainment while we were line (so did Kenny).
There were even fun house mirrors!
Clowns everywhere (especially on the ride).
Ferris wheels are romantic, so we took a ride.
We came across the best ride as we were leaving the park: Storm Runner.
We went 0-72 mph in 2 seconds.
To say we were elated would be an understatement.
After going to Kings Island for 20+ years and loving it, I was surprised that I was more impressed with Hershey Park's rides and atmosphere.
Also, as much as I love my daughter, it was refreshing to spend some time alone bonding and having a blast with Kenny. What an awesome anniversary!
