Last Monday, Eliza and I went to a birthday party for my friends' little kid.
We got there early and took some time to play.

We spent several minutes on Eliza's favorite slide (where she had her first slide experience a few months ago and where she plays almost every day).
She tried the balance beam.
Eliza loved practicing going up and down the stairs.
I needed a break from chasing her so...
Once the kids got there, Eliza was a little apprehensive to join them. She would inch closer and closer to them and then run away once she got too close. She quickly got over being shy though.
After a dinner of grilled salmon burgers and strawberries, it was cake time. Kylen really was happy about his cake and party.
The kids (and adults) were excited about the cake (hence the babies' excitement in the pictures).
