Because I always want to be a mom before a writer, I have to take advantage of any "extra" time I get in the day.
I begin each morning with stretching, reading my scriptures, and practicing Italian before I get Eliza out of bed for breakfast.
I then do some kind of active, fun activity for Eliza during the morning hours that usually wears her out.
Today, we went to an indoor playground.
Eliza loved anything with wheels.
And just adored this cabin playset.
So after the morning hours, Eliza is tuckered out, and on a good day, takes a two hour nap.
Nap time is the main time for me to get some writing in. I'll start out with a little reading, do a hour of English tutoring, and then work on my novel.
For later in the day, I've learned to make each minute count. If Eliza is happily playing, then I can get a couple paragraphs in before she wants or needs me. I also get a couple hours in at night before I spend some time relaxing with Kenny. Between playing with Eliza, hanging out with Kenny, and working on my hobbies, I feel pretty happy and accomplished by the end of the day.
Have a lucky St. Patrick's Day!!
