Twenty Waterfalls

After pulling out long-sleeved shirts and jackets and stocking up on trail mix and Cliff bars, Kenny and I took Eliza to her very first campsite. She excitedly crawled in and out of our borrowed tent, carried around our new lantern, and ate her first s'mores in a camp chair.

While it got pretty chilly, she did well sleeping next to us on the ground. She wasn't happy, however, when I put my sweatshirt on her in the morning (hers were damp from the night before).

Sierra was a very cheerful camper!

Eliza was adorable taking our headlight around like a camera in a safari.

Our campsite was surrounded by moss-covered trees with knot holes.

And trees with legs.

We were excited to have our friends, Laura, Steve, and Sierra, with us for a stellar hike with twenty waterfalls.

This waterfall was one of my favorites with the rainbow along the bottom.

The guys kept Eliza entertained.

Sierra was pretty much adorable and happy the whole time!

This beautiful hike with great friends, perfect, cool weather, and good humor has made me even more excited for the fall season. Nothing beats fall camping with no sweating and no bugs!
