I have been waiting for over ten years to see the musical Wicked on stage. I have listened to my favorite songs from the soundtrack over and over again and tried to piece the story together. I purposely never asked anyone because I wanted to save the surprise ending for when I saw it. I finally saw Wicked today and the wait was SOOOOOOOO worth it.
I was so excited to get into the city to see the show. I was seriously almost trembling.
Musical theater is like crack to me.
I am so glad that my mom joined me. She loved it too!
It was kind of fun. Someone on the sidewalk was playing "The Wicked Witch is Dead."
The stage looked AMAZING. (I was shaking at this point.)
The music was thrilling; the actors nailed it. The plot was better than I dreamed. Everything was pieced together just perfectly. My favorite songs were "As Long As You're Mine" and "Defying Gravity."
This was my after-show glow. I am still feeling it right now. This show has been super high on my bucket list and it feels incredible to have finally experienced this show. I am not exaggerating at all!
On our way out, Mom showed The Book of Mormon musical what's what by putting a Mormon pass along card on the poster. Too funny.
See Wicked. Hands down the best musical that I have ever seen.
