Moments to Remember: August 2017

August has been a whirlwind as we only had a little over two weeks between getting home from Montana and going to Myrtle Beach. We're finally home and breathing now, but we have had so much fun with family this summer.
We had several beautiful beach days. Eliza immediately loved the ocean, waves, and sand. Joseph fussed at first, but slowly got used to it. He liked sitting on the beach and grabbing handfuls of sand.
Eliza loved splashing in the pool with her cousins. After a few hours of being in the sun, she was ready to spend the rest of the day dressed in the beach house playing with Becca, Loralee, and Logan.
I had several peaceful moments on the beach, reading and collecting seashells. I did a little skim boarding, but actually didn't boogie board this year. I mostly just relaxed in the salty breeze that I love.
We were able to be on the beach to watch the 2017 solar eclipse. The sky darkened like dusk over the ocean and our shadows got all weird. It was neat experiencing the eclipse with my siblings.
The rest of the week was full of roller blading, shopping, games, and more beaching. It was a great trip!
Kenny, Sara, and I finally released Knotty Pine Mysteries #1 on Amazon and we're happy but exhausted. We still have more ideas and work to do!
So excited for the crisp fall air, colorful leaves, and pumpkin/apple everything! This autumn will hopefully bring more crabbing, hiking, and maybe some camping.
