Our month has been busy as the weather has shifted back and forth between winter and spring. I have enjoyed several gorgeous days outside with Eliza and Joseph and sometimes with Kenny as well. We have explored parks and nature centers and have walked/strollered to T.J. Maxx to browse or Baskin Robbins to share a scoop of ice cream.
Eliza and Joseph have started to play more and more. Eliza will often go to Joseph and get him to stare, smile, and coo as she animatedly talks to him and shows him toys. It's the beginning of a beautiful, strong bond between brother and sister.
Eliza is learning so much with preschool! She loves going on Wednesdays to her co-op class with six other kids. She always brings home the cutest projects, like a homemade candle or an "archaeology" kit. I also supplement the letter or theme that she is learning on Tuesday and Thursday. She is doing so great with coloring most of the white space and tracing letters. We also do some reading, counting, and science projects (this month we made a volcano!).
Joseph is growing so much! He's already over 17 pounds and 9/12 month clothes at four months old. He loves to talk, give wide-mouth smiles, and move his arms and legs. He lays on his play mat and bats at the hanging toys while babbling. He will also sit propped up on the couch or do tummy time on a pillow and taste and squeeze his toys. His favorite toy is a crinkly square with a lion head that he got for Christmas from Grammy.
Finally, Kenny and I are having so much fun with some projects that we are doing together! We started a preschool video series and made the first video. We are excited to make more. I have also been writing a children's mystery book for months and Kenny has been very supportive and has given great input. My sister-in-law, Sara, is the artist and has given so much awesome feedback as well as having an amazing vision of the project. From being asked to write it in September, outlining in October, first draft in November, and editing since then, I am ecstatic to see it all together!
We are happy, healthy, and loving life!
