Moments to Remember: January 2019

January has been super weird! We were in Ohio until the 5th and then I was gone for Meredith's wedding in Arizona until the 14th. And Kenny was home on furlough until the 28th.
We were so lucky to spend time with friends and family in Ohio. The wedding was beautiful with 70 degree weather and I was able to have a couple nice days out cruising. It has been snowy and cold in Maryland, so we have been staying warm at home with books and play with just a few outings.
Eliza has continued with homeschool preschool and is blending more and more words for English! Joseph surprises me every day with answering questions and stringing full sentences together. I'm really busy with my last two courses and work. Just two more months of craziness!

Moments to Remember: December 2018

What a lovely, magical holiday! Eliza and I saw the Nutcracker, the kids met Santa, and Kenny and I had a ball in NYC. We saw the Office musical and the Rockefeller tree. Christmas was full of fun surprises including a teeter totter for the kids and a pizza oven for Kenny. After watching the Nativity and gift opening, we played, lounged, ate pizza, walked/skated to the park, watched Home Alone 2, and drove around to look at lights. A couple days later, we had vacation all over again in Ohio with the Stanfield's. We played games, watched movies (Mary Poppins Returns, Spider Verse, Magical Creatures), and just enjoyed our time together. I got lots of awesome cruising time on my longboard.
I have several goals for the year, including Come Follow Me daily study and prayer, nine cups of water and yoga daily, more ballet and do the spring show, finish MA, longboard/penny tricks and cruise in NYC, surf a bunch, only check my phone for five minutes an hour (we'll see), and hopefully a publishing contract after my degree (wishful thinking!). For the kids, I'd like to teach Eliza to read and potty train Joseph.
Really looking forward to 2019!
